Resumen
The starting point is the neoclassical one-sector growth model with differential saving between workers and shareholders as proposed by Bohm and Kaas (2000). Endogenous cycles or chaotic dynamics can be produced depending on the technology (as described by CES, VES, SIGMOIDAL, SHIFTED COBB-DOUGLAS production functions). The substitutability between production factors and the different saving rates influence the dynamics: local and global bifurcations associated to simple and complex attractors, even coexisting, will be discussed .
In addition non-constant population growth rates can be considered (such as Beverton-Holt or logistic type) thus moving from 1D to 2D dynamical systems. Local and global bifurcations causing the transition to more and more complex dynamics, related to both the structure of the attractors (periodic or chaotic) and to their basins (simple or nonconnected) can be described.
